Toronto – The Canada-Vietnam Cultural & Educational Council (CVCEC) marked a significant step in bilateral engagement this week as its CEO, Ms. Trang Phan, met with a high-level Vietnamese delegation led by the Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly and senior ministers.

The discussions centered on expanding educational partnerships and economic cooperation between Vietnam and Canada. Ms. Phan underscored CVCEC’s role as a bridge-builder, highlighting ongoing collaborations with institutions, government agencies, and cultural organizations in both countries.

A notable milestone presented during the meeting was the success of the Canada-Vietnam Trade Council in organizing the Vietnamese Flag Raising Ceremony at Toronto City Hall and across more than 21 cities nationwide—an emblem of community pride and diplomatic recognition.

Looking ahead, CVCEC reaffirmed its commitment to fostering long-term networks of cooperation, emphasizing initiatives such as leadership exchanges, cultural showcases, and joint education programs.

"Our mission is to strengthen collaboration and create meaningful opportunities that connect communities and institutions across both nations," Ms. Phan said.
