How we are funded

We do not charge families for our programs. Our work is supported by partners, in-kind sponsors and volunteers, and any surplus is reinvested in community programs.

Independence

We do not share the personal information of students or families with any government body, except where required by Canadian law.

Reports and policies

Land acknowledgement

CVCEC is based in Toronto. We acknowledge that the land we work on is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit. As an organization that helps newcomer families make Canada home, we are committed to learning about Indigenous histories and sharing them with the students and families we serve.
