Toronto, September 28, 2026 – The Canada-Vietnam Cultural & Educational Council (CVCEC) is pleased to announce an upcoming official delegation visit to Vietnam in collaboration with the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). Running from October 12 to October 19, 2026, the delegation will visit key educational hubs across Vietnam, including Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Launched in April 2026, VYRH was established to address the practical needs of families navigating the North American educational landscape. The Hub is a non-commercial, community-driven initiative spearheaded by Phan Thi Quynh Trang, Founder and President of CVCEC. Developed and validated through the Urban Leadership Fellowship program at the University of Toronto’s School of Cities, VYRH equips Vietnamese students with the mindset and skills required for academic adaptation while creating structural mechanisms to preserve the mother tongue within the diaspora.

The masterclass presented a data-driven overview of the fundamental structural changes impacting major study destinations, with a particular focus on the Canadian landscape:

A Celebration of Connection and Continuity

We extend our profound gratitude to the following patrons for their exceptional support. By contributing these precious heritage costumes, you have become honored "Cultural Ambassadors" of the CVCEC. Your generosity enables us to curate a living library of Vietnamese tradition, strengthening the cultural bridge between Canada and the world.

Out of numerous applicants, VYRH is honored to be one of only 16 initiatives chosen for this year’s cohort. This isn’t just an achievement for our organization; it is a vital opportunity for the Vietnamese-Canadian community to have a voice in the urban development conversation.

Moving beyond theoretical learning, VYRH prioritizes providing young people with practical, real-world experiences to aid their integration into the Canadian professional landscape. Key highlights from the event included:

On a warm summer day in Toronto, the Canada–Vietnam Cultural & Educational Council (CVCEC) had the opportunity to meet Vietnamese traditional tea artisan Nguyễn Ngọc Tuấn—an individual devoted to preserving and sharing the spirit of Vietnamese tea culture for over three decades. The encounter became more than a conversation about tea; it was a reflection on heritage, identity, and cultural continuity within the Vietnamese diaspora.

On April 21, 2025, cultural leaders, education experts, and distinguished guests gathered in Hanoi for the event “From the Vietnamese Lotus to the Canadian Maple Leaf”—a meaningful dialogue aimed at strengthening cultural understanding and expanding educational collaboration between Vietnam and Canada. The event highlighted shared values of heritage, human development, and sustainable partnership.
