The Vietnam Youth Heritage Ambassador Program is developed by the Canada Vietnam Cultural & Educational Council (CVCEC), a non-profit organization dedicated to educational and cultural exchange initiatives.
The program is delivered in Canada in partnership with Young Leaders Camp (YLCamp), a Toronto-based educational provider specializing in youth leadership and international programs, and is hosted at the University of Toronto.

Connecting Culture – Leadership – Global Identity
The Youth Heritage Program, developed by the Canada Vietnam Cultural & Educational Council (CVCEC), is an international learning and cultural exchange journey designed to empower young people to explore identity, develop leadership skills, and engage with the world as global citizens. Through immersive experiences in Canada, students strengthen their English communication, broaden their global perspective, and learn how to represent Vietnamese culture in international contexts.

Vietnam Youth Heritage Ambassador Program in Canada
The Canada Vietnam Cultural & Educational Council (CVCEC) is pleased to introduce the Vietnam Youth Heritage Ambassador Program in Canada 2026 — an academic, cultural exchange, and youth leadership development journey designed for young Vietnamese participants in an international learning environment. The program aims to provide students with opportunities to strengthen their global perspective, enhance English communication skills, and develop leadership and intercultural competencies through structured educational and cultural activities. The initiative is supported by BIDV and Canon Canada, in collaboration with a network of educational partners in Canada.
A Program with Purpose
The Youth Heritage Program goes beyond language learning or travel experience. It is designed to:
- Strengthen global communication and intercultural competence
- Develop confidence, public speaking, and leadership skills
- Encourage youth to explore and represent their cultural identity
- Build meaningful connections between Vietnam and Canada

Vietnam Youth Heritage Ambassador Program in Canada
The Vietnam Youth Heritage Ambassador Program in Canada will be held at the University of Toronto, offering students a valuable opportunity to learn, grow, and experience life within one of the world’s leading international academic environments.
The program integrates several key components:

Intensive English training (15 hours per week)

Development of critical thinking and youth leadership skills

Implementation of a heritage promotion project, where students present Vietnamese cultural heritage in English

International youth exchange activities

Educational visits to major cities in Eastern Canada, including Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec (for students participating in the three-week program)
This program is not only an opportunity to improve English proficiency but also a meaningful journey that helps young participants develop confidence, responsibility, and a global citizenship mindset.
Building Cultural Diplomacy Through Youth
Through exchange activities in Canada, participants:
- Represent Vietnamese youth in international environments

Program Schedule
Merit-Based Scholarship Opportunity
The CVCEC Merit-Based Scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional initiative in promoting Vietnamese heritage. Recipients are selected based on their Heritage Projects, evaluated by our board of education and cultural experts.
Students are invited to submit a heritage promotion project in English to the Council for evaluation. The project may take the form of:

A written essay or digital publication

A presentation introducing local culture and heritage
The project should highlight one or more of the following themes:

Vietnamese cultural heritage

Historical values and traditions

Local innovation and economic development

The unique identity and global potential of Vietnamese communities
Based on the evaluation of the submitted project, selected students may receive a Merit-Based Scholarship.
This scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate initiative, creativity, English communication ability, and a strong commitment to promoting Vietnamese culture internationally.
The selected recipients will also have the opportunity to present their projects during the program and contribute to promoting Vietnamese heritage within the international youth community. The program is aligned with the National Strategy on Cultural Diplomacy
