The Viet Youth Readiness Hub (VYRH) team experienced an impactful afternoon at the Davenport Job Fair, an event hosted by the office of Member of Parliament Julie Dzerowicz.
Moving beyond theoretical learning, VYRH prioritizes providing young people with practical, real-world experiences to aid their integration into the Canadian professional landscape. Key highlights from the event included:
Direct Professional Networking: Our youth had the opportunity to meet directly with employers from across the Davenport area in Toronto, gaining a firsthand understanding of current labor market demands.
Career Exploration & Guidance: Participants explored unique career pathways in Canada, including a highly engaging session with the Toronto Fire Services to learn about public service roles.
Building Confidence in International Settings: Students practiced essential communication and networking skills within a high-level, professional international environment.
