As the year draws to a close and the spirit of the upcoming Lunar New Year begins to fill the air, the Canada Vietnam Cultural & Educational Council (CVCEC) recently hosted a warm and intimate Year-End Dinner to welcome the Year of the Horse 2026.
This gathering was more than just a meal; it was a meaningful occasion for us to share stories, strengthen our bonds, and preserve the beauty of Vietnamese traditional values while living abroad.

A Taste of Home at Sen Vietnamese Cuisine
A highlight of the evening was the authentic "taste of home" provided by Sen Vietnamese Cuisine. Every dish was prepared with care, bringing the rustic yet refined flavors of Vietnam to our table in Markham.
We send a special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Deon Nguyen, the owners of Sen Vietnamese Cuisine, for their enthusiastic support and hospitality. Their dedicated team ensured that our gathering felt truly complete and as cozy as a family meal.
Honoring Tradition with Artisan "Lão Trà"
The evening was further enriched by the presence of Artisan Nguyễn Ngọc Tuấn (known as Lão Trà). Through his storytelling and the intricate details he shared during the event, he helped transform the dinner into a profound cultural experience. His insights reminded us all that no matter how far we travel, our Vietnamese identity remains our most solid foundation.
