Out of numerous applicants, VYRH is honored to be one of only 16 initiatives chosen for this year’s cohort. This isn’t just an achievement for our organization; it is a vital opportunity for the Vietnamese-Canadian community to have a voice in the urban development conversation.

Moving beyond theoretical learning, VYRH prioritizes providing young people with practical, real-world experiences to aid their integration into the Canadian professional landscape. Key highlights from the event included:

On a warm summer day in Toronto, the Canada–Vietnam Cultural & Educational Council (CVCEC) had the opportunity to meet Vietnamese traditional tea artisan Nguyễn Ngọc Tuấn—an individual devoted to preserving and sharing the spirit of Vietnamese tea culture for over three decades. The encounter became more than a conversation about tea; it was a reflection on heritage, identity, and cultural continuity within the Vietnamese diaspora.

On April 21, 2025, cultural leaders, education experts, and distinguished guests gathered in Hanoi for the event “From the Vietnamese Lotus to the Canadian Maple Leaf”—a meaningful dialogue aimed at strengthening cultural understanding and expanding educational collaboration between Vietnam and Canada. The event highlighted shared values of heritage, human development, and sustainable partnership.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our valued partners and dear friends who took the time to join us. Your presence and continued support are the foundation of our community’s strength. It is through these connections that CVCEC is able to continue its mission of fostering cultural and educational growth.

CVCEC extends our sincere appreciation to the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) for their openness, trust, and constructive engagement during our initial discussions regarding the development and implementation of Vietnamese language programs.

In celebration of Tết Nguyên Đán – Vietnamese Lunar New Year 2025 (Year of the Snake), the Canada–Vietnam Cultural & Educational Council (CVCEC) partnered with Canadian schools and Vietnamese student communities to promote cultural understanding and preserve Vietnamese heritage. Through educational engagement and cultural activities, CVCEC highlighted the significance of Tết as a uniquely Vietnamese celebration rooted in tradition, identity, and intergenerational connection.
